Myles Lewis-Skelly is “buzzing” after being called up by England and revealed he celebrated the news by “shouting” around his house.
Lewis-Skelly was named in an England senior squad for the first time last week after enjoying a brilliant breakthrough season with Arsenal.
The 18-year-old has excelled at left-back for Mikel Arteta’s side and now could make his England debut on Friday or next week when the Three Lions hosts Albania and Lativa in World Cup qualifiers.
Lewis-Skelly has admitted he could not contain his excitement when he heard the news and is itching to join up with the squad this week.
“I’m buzzing, you know,” he told Arsenal’s website. “Honesty I was elated, just shouting around my house!
“Obviously I’m excited for what’s coming up, but you’ve always got to stay locked in on the present and not get too attached to the feeling that’s coming later down the line.

Lewis-Skelly was speaking after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over London rivals Chelsea on Sunday. The teenager started at left-back and helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet.
“It was a hard-fought win,” he said. “We had to face a low block a lot in this game, but as a team we can suffer together.
“Sometimes you’ve got to suffer and we did that well today, we were comfortable.
“We knew from the jump that we had to win our battles and win our duels. It's a given, especially in a derby like this.”
