'So that's'- Wayne Rooney drops his'biggest compliment'ever for Ruben Amorim's'fantastic'ace, he blew him away vs Leicester City

Wayne Rooney shared his deep-seated admiration for one exceptional Manchester United talent under Ruben Amorim after the player’s display against Leicester City.

Ruben Amorim’s men travelled to the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening and Manchester United comfortably beat Leicester City 3-0 on the night.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side offered very little in response to the United threat and the Red Devils were 1-0 up by half-time thanks to Rasmus Hojlund’s first-half opener.

Following Rasmus Hojlund breaking his goalscoring drought, United turned up their performance in the second half against Leicester City in the second half.

Bruno Fernandes, who assisted Red Devils striker Hojlund for United in the first half, then set up Alejandro Garnacho for his side’s second after the break.

The 30-year-old Red Devils captain, who scored a stunning hat-trick for United against Real Sociedad, then added his name to the scoresheet in the 90th minute.

United blew Premier League strugglers Leicester out of the water in the second half and signed off their final match in March with a superb performance.

Wayne Rooney’s powerful reaction to Ayden Heaven’s emergence at Man Utd after Leicester City win

Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium was overshadowed by the devastating injury to Red Devils talent Ayden Heaven.

Ayden Heaven only arrived at Old Trafford in February after he was signed from Arsenal and the former Gunners player has already made his presence felt.

The 18-year-old defender became part of the United youth academy, but Heaven has already been fast-tracked into the United first team under Ruben Amorim.

Amorim started the Red Devils youngster against the Foxes and Heaven deeply impressed United fans with his performance in the first half at the King Power.

However, Heaven’s time on the pitch was cut short in the second half and he was withdrawn in the 51st minute after he was stretchered off due to an injury.

Wayne Rooney has admitted that he has been blown away by how United centre-back Heaven has dealt with a “lot of pressure” so early on his spell at the club.

Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day, he said: “Yeah, obviously, it’s a huge football club and at this time it’s not maybe going right, to come in and play for Manchester United at 18, it’s a lot of pressure.

“Because them expectations are on you from the first minute, but I think in the games he’s played, I think he’s been fantastic.

“I come in as an 18-year-old at Manchester United and you do feel that pressure, but to come in as a centre-back, which is obviously that position where you can’t afford to make mistakes otherwise you get punished, is very difficult and he looks like he’s been there for years.

“So that’s the biggest compliment I can give him.”

Speaking after the Premier League match, United manager Amorim admitted that it would be a real “shame” if Ayden Heaven has suffered a long-term injury.

“Well, we have to evaluate during the week,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“He’s a young kid, he doesn’t know how to explain what he’s feeling, so it’s hard for us to know something.

“He’s a bit a little bit more calm now, but we have to assess during the week.

“But he’s doing a great job and it’s a shame if he has something for quite a long [time]. We wish him all the best.”

United are 13th in the Premier League table and the Red Devils have won two of their last five league fixtures ahead of the start of the March international break.
