Chad Ochocinco Shares Heartfelt Message About Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins Deals

The Cincinnati Bengals were able to finally get their new deals done with star wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Chase received a massive four-year, $161 million contract with $112 million guaranteed. Higgins, on the other hand, received a four-year deal with $115 million guaranteed.

Over the past couple of weeks, the Bengals started having a real chance at keeping both in town. No one is happier than quarterback Joe Burrow.

A Cincinnati legend spoke out shortly after the two deals got done. Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, a former Bengals' superstar wideout in his own era, shared his reaction to the great news.

During a segment on "Night Cap" with Shannon Sharpe, Ochocinco spoke out about the two deals. It was clear that it meant a lot to him seeing Cincinnati keep both stars and remain competitive.

"Congratulations brother Ja'Marr Chase, brother Tee Higgins," Ochocinco said. "They got that deal done. I know Joe is happy, very happy to keep that unit together. I didn't think it would be possible. But the fact that Joe was able to keep the two main guys together, man, is really a good thing, and that's a step in the right direction for us."

Ochocinco continued on, sharing even more of his excitement about Chase and Higgins remaining with the Bengals long-term and the team's chances at making a Super Bowl run.

"And finishing, you know, what we need to get back to the promised land at the end of the season. So I'm happy. I'm excited, and kudos to the Blackburn family, to Mike Brown and getting that done. But let's get some work on that defense in now."
