KEIR RADNEDGE REPORTS: No change at the top of the rankings for the ESM European Golden Shoe even though Mohamed Salah was not involved in league action at the weekend.
The Liverpool forward’s well-established lead was sufficient to keep him out in front of Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski and Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui. Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, last season’s winner, has slipped to joint fourth.
Marksmen from the Big Five (England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) benefit from a points multiplier of two. Players in leagues between places six and 22 of the UEFA national ranking 2022 receive a 1.5 coefficient.
As in former years the ranking does not include play-offs or cup matches in the official ranking.
