Bruno Fernandes continued his hot streak by scoring and assisting in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City.
It feels as though things are starting to click under Ruben Amorim. Manchester United are now unbeaten in four matches and have not lost in the Premier League since the defeat to Tottenham in mid-February.
Consistency has been an issue this season but the Red Devils grew in confidence from Thursday’s Europa League win over Real Sociedad and put on another emphatic performance against Leicester.
Bruno Fernandes continued his brilliant form, scoring his 16th goal of the season to seal the 3-0 victory. Rasmus Hojlund praised Fernandes, and it was the United captain who played the pass that led to his goal in the first half.

What surprised Ruben Amorim about Bruno Fernandes
Just like Amorim, United brought Fernandes to Manchester from Sporting Lisbon – when the two were reunited this season, they both knew what to expect.
Fernandes had watched hours of Amorim’s Sporting as a boyhood fan of the club, and it has paid off – his form since the change of management has been incredible.
But while Amorim did know Fernandes already, he has admitted that one thing did surprise him about the United captain.

Speaking after the Leicester win, as quoted by The Mirror, Amorim said: “Bruno is a special guy.
“He’s always ready, he can recover well. I always see a Bruno who is dangerous and a Bruno who can recover in every situation.
“What surprised me the most is the way he works every day – that was a surprise.
“In Portugal we see Bruno with all that frustration and I was really surprised, because he’s a very good professional. You can understand that frustration, but it was a surprise for me.”
Bruno Fernandes is stepping up for Man United this season
Fernandes nearly left United in the summer. The 30-year-old revealed he received an offer to leave the club but turned it down.
Despite his remarkable goal and assist record in red, Fernandes has faced heavy criticism during his time at Old Trafford.
But Fernandes has never crumbled under that pressure, and has instead stepped up to become a leader of a struggling United side. Without him, who knows where this side would sit in the Premier League table.

Fernandes smashed Europa League records earlier this week by scoring a hat-trick from midfield, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.
United now have a two-week break before resuming their Premier League campaign in April, but there will be no time off for Fernandes, who is set to join up with the Portugal national team.
