Everton are preparing for the summer transfer window with David Moyes nearly securing their Premier League status already.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw with West Ham extended the Toffees’ unbeaten run in the Premier League to nine games, with a 17-point gap to the bottom three now.

Moyes’ side have not suffered a defeat in any competition since their 2-0 loss to Bournemouth in the FA Cup on 8 February.

Everton’s resolve will be firmly tested next time out, though, when they face league leaders and local rivals Liverpool at Anfield on 2 April.

Everton prepare new bid for Emanuel Emegha

As the Toffees look ahead to pastures new at Bramley-Moore Dock, which will host their Premier League games next term, they have set their sights on striker Emanuel Emegha.

According to TBR Football, Everton are readying a bid for the Strasbourg striker, who has also attracted interest from fellow top-flight sides West Ham and Newcastle.

Chelsea are also scouting the striker, while BlueCo own both the Stamford Bridge outfit and Strasbourg.

But it is currently Moyes’ side who lead the race for Emegha’s services, and the 22-year-old is keen on moving to the Premier League.

Emegha could be a strong signing for Everton

The Toffees have successfully staved off the threat of relegation to the Championship, but a top-half finish is likely beyond their capabilities this term, as they sit 10 points adrift of 10th place Bournemouth.

But next season, Everton will have loftier ambitions in mind, while Emegha’s signature could help them enjoy a more fruitful campaign.

The Toffees’ current joint-top scorers in the Premier League this term are Beto, who was on particularly good form last month, and Iliman Ndiaye who have each scored six goals in the top-flight.

While Emegha has been likened to Nidaye, he has proven himself to be more prolific than the former Sheffield United man.

The Strasbourg forward has notched 11 goals in 23 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this term, so he could be able to provide Everton with the extra firepower they need.

This is certainly one to watch ahead of the summer.
