Alan Shearer has paid tribute to Liverpool in a drunken message celebrating Newcastle United’s League Cup final win over the Reds. Goals either side of half-time from Dan Burn and Alexander Isak clinched a deserved 2-1 win for the Magpies, with Federico Chiesa’s stoppage-time strike proving to be nothing more than a late consolation.
