Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green’s latest comments about New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns has seemingly reminded the NBA world that the 35-year-old is genuinely one of the bad dudes in all of sports. Green. ever the controversial figure in basketball, has recently been engaged in a one-sided beef with Karl-Anthony Towns over missing a game for a funeral.
Earlier this month, Draymond Green accused Karl-Anthony Towns of missing the March 4 game between the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks because he was trying to avoid facing his former Timberwolves teammate Jimmy Butler, who was traded into the Warriors at the deadline.
Towns, in fact, was attending the funeral of a loved one who passed away from cancer. Despite this, after the game on Sunday, March 16 between the Knicks and Warriors (in which Green contributed his expected ‘single triple’ with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 32 minutes of action), Draymond Green still continued taking shots at KAT.
“That was fun,” Green said. “Really fun. It was good to see KAT play like that. Probably the most physical I’ve ever seen him. Had a little extra motivation so that made the game fun.”

Green’s comments prompted all sorts of responses from the sports world, with NBA fans calling him, among other things, garbage, insecure, narcissistic, weird, and a terrible human being.

“This fake-paternal ‘I’m proud of you’ s—. One of the most pathetic and most insecure people in the sport,” another NBA fan bemoaned.
“If KAT ever decides to punch the living s— out of Draymond, I think the league should give him no punishment,” one argued.
**“This guy sucks. straight up. Don’t hate Draymond, he’s a great player. Just a really weird person. Hope he eventually gets the help he needs,**” a social media user suggested.
“Draymond Green may be the only player in all of sports that I’d pop a champagne bottle if he tore his Achilles,” was one particularly cold refrain from a fan.

The Warriors beat the Knicks on Sunday night by a score of 97-94. Towns led the Knicks in both scoring and rebounds, as he posted 29 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists in the loss.
