Jets Given Incredible ‘Superstar’ Ranking In QB Justin Fields Report

The New York Jets are planting their 2025 flag firmly at the feet of Justin Fields to help the franchise usher in a new era with Aaron Rodgers no longer on the roster.

We have often stated that this move is a win-win for the Jets, with the franchise in the position to have Fields play well and then go from there, or if he plays poorly, move on after 2025 and go quarterback hunting again, they are in a good spot.

But for NFL analyst Bucky Brooks, he is rather bullish on what Fields could become in New York under offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand and with the weapons Fields will have at his disposal.

"Four years after Justin Fields was selected with a first-round draft pick, we're finally going to have a chance to see him realize his potential as a superstar -- by potentially upgrading a Jets offense that was stuck in the mud last season with a four-time NFL MVP at quarterback," Brooks wrote.

"Superstar''?

That's quite the one-word statement, and Brooks says that with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, coupled with his own dual-threat ability under Engstand, Fields could be leading the Jets' charge as an AFC heavyweight.

Of course, this is all hypothetical, and Brooks stated that he isn't saying Fields will become Rodgers, but more so, he will offer more for the Jets.

It is an interesting thought as Fields will now get to be "the" guy for New York for at least 2025, and under Engstrand, the offense, which looked putrid at times last year, might get a new lease on life, and it will be Fields who leads the way.

Yes, it is a rather optimistic take, but we are in the offseason, and right now, the Jets have reason to think that maybe Fields can offer them something positive in 2025.

But as always, the proof will be in the pudding.
