Juventus are in crisis mode after losing two consecutive matches against Atalanta and Fiorentina, conceding seven goals and scoring none.

Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli confirmed his trust in Motta after a 3-0 loss against Fiorentina on Sunday, while the coach refused to resign, claiming it would be “too easy” to step down.

According to Gazzetta and other reputable Italian media, Giuntoli and CEO Maurizio Scanavino sat down with Thiago Motta for a long meeting at lunchtime today, confirming that the coach was not at risk of sacking.

Nevertheless, directors insisted they expected a quick U-turn to reach a Champions League placement.

The Bianconeri currently sit fifth in the Serie A table, one point below fourth-placed Bologna.

According to the reports, Juventus directors urged Motta to regain defensive solidity and have a better connection with the players.

Previous reports claimed that the relationship between Motta and part of the dressing room had deteriorated. Many pundits, including club legend Alessandro Del Piero, have highlighted Juventus’ poor attitude in recent matches, especially their lack of reaction.
