Dolphins Address Offensive Line Early Multiple Times in Mock Draft

The Miami Dolphins are looking to keep their stars and roster intact for a potential longer postseason run.

To accomplish this, they will need to keep their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa healthy and get their running game situated. The Dolphins have consistently failed to get their offensive line to perform at an efficient rate.

The team re-signing guard Liam Eichenberg was met with a lot of backlash considering he was one of the worst-graded offensive linemen, according to Pro Football Focus. Miami did sign Larry Borom and James Daniels during the early process of free agency.

There is still work to be done with the offensive line as star left tackle Terron Armstead will likely not play in the 2025 season due to a torn ACL he suffered at the end of last season.

The latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft from Pro Football Network has the Dolphins focusing on the offensive line within their first two picks. Miami is projected to select Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Bank Jr. with the No. 13 pick. The Dolphins are projected to get Arizona guard Jonah Savaiinaea with the No. 48 pick.

Banks could step in as the immediate starting right tackle to protect the blindside of the left-handed quarterback. This selection would move Austin Jackson from the right tackle position to left tackle. Jackson has improved as a run-blocker but has still struggled as a pass-protector.

Savaiinaea, meanwhile, could come in and challenge Eichenburg or even Jackson for the starting guard or tackle spot, respectively. The Dolphins have Tagovailoa to be hurt constantly due to insufficient protection. They can't keep rewarding offensive linemen for their poor play.
