Newcastle United will celebrate their 2025 Carabao Cup success with their legions of fans on Tyneside at the end of the month. Following talks with Newcastle City Council and Northumbria Police, the club have confirmed the dates for their trophy parade through the city streets.
The parade will take place on Saturday March 29 with a special event planned for supporters. The United heroes will all be present, along with the club's coaching staff and officials, with the emphasis on a joint celebration of everyone'e efforts.
After instant celebrations in London and on Tyneside, the party had to be put on hold to some degree, with many of the Newcastle United squad heading off around the globe to represent their countries in the international break. Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Dan Burn, Tino Livramento and Anthony Gordon among others are away with their countries, while the remainder of the squad have headed out to Saudi Arabia for some warm weather training.
Newcastle are not back in action until their Premier League game with Brentford on Wednesday, April 2 and so have taken the opportunity to hold their victory parade on the weekend when they have no fixture, due to their exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Brighton.
Posting on social media on Monday afternoon, the club posted a graphic with the caption: "BUSY?". Full details are expected to follow in the near future.
Newcastle's players and staff partied long into the night in London, before arriving back on Tyneside with the Carabao Cup in tow on Monday afternoon. Some key men were missing from the scenes due to international duty, including Man of the Match - Dan Burn.
Speaking after the game, when asked about his players enjoying the celebrations, Howe said: "There has to be a big celebration. I certainly will be encouraging it, which is very rare for me, usually I'm the other way. We have to celebrate, hopefully with our supporters, with everyone that's waited so long.
"It is difficult as it's international duty. Players will be going off here, there and everywhere. There won't be long to spend together but hopefully it will be really enjoyable."
