The Atlanta Hawks have several young stars who excite fans but Dyson Daniels might be the most compelling of them all.
Daniels is having a great year and his first season with the Hawks has been quite memorable so far.
In fact, he is about to make history.
As pointed out by Hawks PR, per Legion Hoops, Daniels is just one steal way from surpassing Ricky Rubio for the most steals in a single season since 2013-14.
Considering Daniels leads the league in steals this year, this should happen soon.

Daniels is putting up 13.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 3.0 steals per game.
That’s a huge jump up from what he was doing last year during his last season with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Down in New Orleans, he averaged 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals during 2023-24.
Daniels has reached a new level in Atlanta and it’s partly because the team has so much faith in him.
He quickly showed what he was capable of and they gave him room to grow and time to prove himself.
He has started in all 63 of his games this season and has become a permanent and important part of their starting rotation.
A lot of people believe that Daniels will be the face of the franchise moving into the future and he has been called one of the best defensive players in the league.
This stat shows that he really is making a huge impact on the floor and creating serious headaches for opponents.
