### **Cleveland Browns: Kenny Pickett Believes in His Chances to Win Starting Job**

After being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Cleveland Browns, Kenny Pickett believes in his chances to become a starting quarterback in 2025.

The Browns may draft or sign a quarterback, but their starting spot is up for grabs, with Pickett and injured quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) the only signal-callers currently on their roster.

A first-round pick by the Steelers in 2022, Pickett is with his third team and plans to cash in on his latest opportunity.

"I do view myself as a starter," Pickett said [via Kevin Patra of NFL.com](https://www.nfl.com/news/qb-kenny-pickett-does-view-himself-as-a-starter-joining-browns). "I'm sure they're going to bring in another veteran and who knows what else, but I'm just excited to be here and compete with whoever.

"All the quarterback rooms I've been in, each room's been really tight. We all pull for each other. That's really what it's all about: getting better together and making the team better."

Watson is expected to miss the entire 2025 season, giving Pickett a chance for plenty of reps to state his case.

"I just think it's a great opportunity to go compete again," Pickett said. "That's really all you can ask for. That's what I was told here, coming in here, having an opportunity to compete again. I'm very excited for that."
