Everton striker Youssef Chermiti is not at 100 per cent after his long-term injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite his featuring against West Ham over the weekend, he’s still a long way from returning to full fitness.
The 20-year-old played 11 minutes as the Blues played out a 1-1 draw with West Ham on 15 March.

Toffees unlikely to have Youssef Chermiti at his best until next season
Given how long the Portuguese forward has been ruled out, it is a significant runway before he can get back to full fitness.
Since his move to Goodison Park, he has been hampered by fitness issues.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Chermiti: “His training will be progressively increasing load and getting into sports specific actions to build up his fitness with an eventual avenue to gradually going back to training.
“Considering he hasn’t played all season until this weekend, this will be an extended timeline for him to return to full fitness.
“I wouldn’t expect that until next season if everything else goes to plan.

David Moyes can bring the best out of Youssef Chermiti at Everton
As Dr Brar rightly pointed out, it makes sense to give him time to re-adapt but David Moyes can be the one to get the best out of the 20-year-old.
Moyes will aim to maximise Chermiti’s potential at Everton by leveraging his physicality and goal-scoring instincts, integrating him gradually into the squad.
With the Portuguese striker’s injury setbacks hopefully behind him, Moyes is likely to use him off the bench initially, allowing the striker to build confidence and adapt to the Premier League’s intensity.
Moyes’ tactics, which often emphasise direct play and aerial presence, suit Chermiti’s strengths, as seen in his impactful substitute appearances, like against West Ham.
By pairing him with experienced forwards and encouraging runs into the box, Moyes can develop Chermiti into a reliable attacking option for Everton’s future.
