The last Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool was iconic.
David Moyes’ side netted a stoppage-time equaliser to send Goodison Park into raptures and it sparked a number of altercations at full-time.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones got into a bust-up with the former sent off whilst Arne Slot was also shown a red for his furious comments towards the referee.
The next Merseyside derby promises to be another chaotic game and it will be staged at Anfield in a couple of weeks time.
Speaking after Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final defeat on Sunday, Slot paid a compliment to the Toffees ahead of the clash.

Arne Slot admits Everton will be a tough game
Speaking to Liverpool’s media team after the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United, Slot admitted that Everton will be a really difficult game when the Merseyside rivals meet at the start of April.
“But now the situation is they go to their national teams, where they have two more games again,” Slot said.
“Then it’s probably one-and-a-half weeks before we face Everton, which is again a team we already faced. We know how difficult that one was. Let’s see.”
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Slot certainly sounded much more wary of Everton than he was prior to his first experience of the derby last month.
Everton’s next five games are incredibly tough
Everton’s next clash is after the international break.
The Toffees make the short trip across Stanley Park to Anfield, with Liverpool gunning for the Premier League title.
Then they host title outsiders Arsenal before another away clash at Nottingham Forest, who currently reside in fourth.
The fixtures don’t get any easier, though, as Moyes’ men play Manchester City and Chelsea, so it’s set to be a difficult month ahead.
