Manchester United have the biggest attendances in England but how does it compare to the giants from the European game?

Manchester United fans have to wait until April 6 for their chance to return to Old Trafford as the international break gets underway. The Red Devils return to action on April 1 at Nottingham Forest before returning to home turf in the Manchester derby against Manchester City on April 6.

Old Trafford is one of the grounds most synonymous with the Premier League, with Sir Alex Ferguson winning numerous titles during his reign at United. While the stadium is in need of repair, the club have recently announced plans for a new 100,000-seater stadium that will cost £2bn to build. The plan is then for Old Trafford to be demolished once the stadium is complete.

With the business end of the season approaching, we have looked at how United’s average Old Trafford attendance this season so far compares against the biggest sides from across Europe.
