Ruben Amorim witnessed unsung Man Utd talent perfectly adapt to his system after underrated display vs Leicester City - …

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will no doubt have received a major boost after what he saw from one first-team player against Leicester City.

The Red Devils travelled to the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening and Manchester United comfortably beat Leicester City 3-0 on the night.

Rasmus Hojlund ended his 21-match goalscoring drought after the 22-year-old Denmark and United striker broke the deadlock for the Red Devils in the first half.

Following Rasmus Hojlund’s first-half opener, Ruben Amorim’s men took complete control of the Premier League match in the second half at the King Power Stadium.

Alejandro Garnacho doubled the lead for the Red Devils before Bruno Fernandes, who bagged two assists, netted United’s third against Leicester on the weekend.

United have played their last match in the month of March and Amorim’s side will return to Premier League action in April after the international break.

What Toby Collyer showed for Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for Man Utd

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was forced to make a change early in the second half after a devastating setback for Red Devils talent Ayden Heaven.

Ayden Heaven impressed United fans with his first-half performance, but the 18-year-old former Arsenal player was stretchered off after the break due to an injury.

Amorim turned to United youngster Toby Collyer and the 21-year-old defensive midfielder came on in place for the injured Ayden Heaven in the Red Devils’ match.

Toby Collyer initially had to play in the right wing-back role in Amorim’s tactical system at United, despite his preferred position being in the heart of midfield.

The United youth academy product put in a steady showing against Leicester City and Collyer proved his versatility at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Around the 71st-minute mark in United’s clash against Leicester, Collyer shifted forward after Alejandro Garnacho, Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen came off.

Statman Dave on X, formerly known as Twitter, highlighted Collyer’s strength after the United player won 100 per cent of both his ground duels and his aerial duels.

Ruben Amorim’s system took effect for Man Utd vs Leicester City

Speaking after the 3-0 result at the King Power, Amorim welcomed United’s performance after the Red Devils comfortably beat Leicester in the match.

“I think it was good,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“I felt a little bit [of] a lack of energy, but they gave everything. Some players were tired and also with the Ayden [Heaven] problem.

“I think we deserved the win and we controlled the game. We could be better with the ball but I understand after these two weeks with a lot of games.

“I think the lads deserved the win. And it was a perfect way to end this week with the win for our away supporters.”

United’s next Premier League match will take place after the international break, with the Red Devils travelling to City Ground to face Nottingham Forest on 1st April.
