Anthony Davis Prepping For Mavericks Return

Anthony Davis plans to return to the court for the Dallas Mavericks this season. ESPN’s [Tim MacMahon reports](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/44290626/mavericks-send-anthony-davis-g-league-prep-return) that Davis is being assigned to the Mavs’ G League team, the Texas Legends, to ramp up activities. He has been cleared to participate in 5-on-5 scrimmages. MacMahon also reports that Davis strongly desires an on-court return this season.

The Mavs also assigned injured guard Jaden Hardy, prepping him for possible activation with the club.

With 13 games left in their season. the tenth-place Mavericks currently hold a 1.5 game lead over the Phoenix Suns and a 4.5 game lead over the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs. The Mavericks have finished their season series with both the Suns and Blazers. Phoenix holds the playoff tiebreaker over the Dallas, while the Mavs hold the tiebreaker over the Blazers.
