Grady Jarrett made some questionable remarks on Instagram regarding his release.
Jarrett, released from the Atlanta Falcons on March 10th, would take to Instagram to send a heartfelt video to Falcons fans. Stating that "I could've wrote a generic letter but y'all deserved to hear from me direct. Thank you to all my supporters!
Later in the video, Jarrett also says, "As we continue to transition to this next big thing for me, due to some unforeseen business decisions, we all know what we signed up for, and unfortunately, I didn't see it coming at this point. But, with that being said, I am excited for my next chapter in Chi-Town."
Jarrett would end the video with, "I'm going to give these fans, my teammates, this organization everything I've got, but I couldn't do it without telling you guys thank you. To tell you that I love you, and I hope for your continued support. If you still got that nine-seven jersey, wear it with pride and look, love. It is what it is, man. Nine-seven out."
The comments eluding to the fact that he "didn't see his release coming" will indeed spark some discussions over the coming days of what transpired behind the scenes in Atlanta. As it stands, Jarrett has signed a three-year, $48.5 million deal with the Chicago Bears, with $28.5 million of that being guaranteed funds.
Jarrett was an absolute fan favorite in Atlanta. His fans' good wishes and thank you notes are written all over his Instagram page. Jarrett will be missed in Atlanta as the Falcons spend every waking moment in the off-season to replace him and other positions on the Atlanta defense.
