The shirt is white with dark purple accents on it and features a snowflake design inspired by the 1990-92 away kit with an overlapping v-collar. It uses the devil logo instead of the full crest. It is worth noting that this hasn’t been published by the official club social accounts or from Adidas, so it is far from 100% official.
United agreed a 10-year extension with Adidas back in 2023 running until 2033 and is worth a minimum of £900m making it the largest kit deal in Premier League history. Chief executive at the time, Richard Arnold, said: "The relationship between Manchester United and Adidas is one of the most iconic in world sport. With its roots in the 1980s, our partnership has been reinvented over the past decade with some of the most innovative designs and technology in sportswear."
Meanwhile, Adidas chief executive Bjorn Gulden said: "Adidas and Manchester United are two of the most important brands in international football and it is very natural for us to continue our co-operation."
Manchester United's most distinctive past kits
United had a pink away shirt back in 2018 in tribute to the city’s newspaper history. It was inspired by The Football Pink newspaper, which was created by the Manchester Evening News, until it was closed in 2007. The front page of United Review read at the time: "Its legacy endures and this season The Pink rides again. Not just in the hearts and minds of the fans, but on the backs of their heroes too."
The original snowflake-esq away shirt of 1990 to 1992 was another iconic jersey. It was light blue and was worn during the last season of the old First Division before it was recreated for the 2021/22 campaign.
Umbro created United’s home shirt when they won the treble in 1999. Sponsored by Sharp, it snow seen as one of the most recognisable tops by their fan base nowadays. It sported a white collar and white shorts. In addition, the yellow and green away kit from 1992 to 1994 is worth a mention too as it commemorated United’s Newton Heath roots and was worn by Eric Cantona.
