Groveton’s Johnson signs extension with Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (KTRE) - Former Groveton Indian Lane Johnson inked an extension with the Super Bowl champion Eagles that will keep him in Philadelphia through the 2027 season, according to the team’s website.

Johnson is entering his 13th season with the Eagles.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Johnson reworked his contract to add eight million dollars over the next two years and an additional $30 million in guarantees. Over the next two years, Johnson will earn $48 million, including $40 million guaranteed.

The Groveton native is a five-time All-Pro, six-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time Super Bowl champion. Johnson was drafted by the Eagles in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft.
