Deputy Cabinet Chairman and Chairman of XUAR discuss cooperation in energy and agriculture and work of border posts
AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev met with Chairman of the People's Government of the XUAR Erkin Tuniyaz in Urumqi.
The sides discussed optimization of checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border, deepening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, development of cooperation between Aksu region of the XUAR and Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, development of bilateral cooperation in agriculture, acceleration of the implementation of the "Two Countries - Two Parks" project, development of cooperation in tourism, and strengthening interaction in regulation of medicines.
The meeting was held within the framework of the second meeting on the main areas of cooperation "Kyrgyz Republic - Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China" and the 12th meeting of the coordination group under the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Chinese Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The parties signed the Memorandum of Intent to Establish Twin City Relations between the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China and Chui region, Action Plan for Cooperation in Metrology between the Market Supervision and Regulation Office of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China and the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the IEC of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Memorandum of Understanding between Jitong Trading Xinjiang Co., Ltd and Xinjiang Bank Co., LTD.
