While many programs are rethinking whether to step away from traditional spring games, Sanders wants to find an opponent. The proposal of an NFL joint practice style head-to-head offering has at least program wanting to meet Coach Prime and the Buffaloes.

Sanders believes this change the narrative around college football's offseason and inject a much-needed boost.
"To have it competitive, playing against your own guys kind of gets monotonous," Sanders said in Monday's press conference.

While some powerhouse programs like Nebraska and USC have pulled out of the Spring Game, Sanders wants to create a better version. The Buffaloes' spring game is scheduled for April 19 at Folsom Field and will air on ESPN2.

Sanders urged fans to show up, warning that the trend of schools abandoning spring games could threaten its future. "I like to play the spring game. Actually, I like to play against another team in the spring," Sanders reiterated.
