ESPN’s Shams Charania has reported that Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George will miss the rest of the season.
Philadelphia 76ers’ Paul George received injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee on Monday and has been ruled out for the rest of the season, sources tell ESPN. George is expected to be out at least six weeks.
George was last on the court on March 3rd when the 76ers lost 126-112 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. While the 76ers have not been mathematically eliminated from the postseason, they sit five games behind the Chicago Bulls for the last play-in spot in the East. In the seemingly unlikely event that George is in fact ready to play in six weeks, he would only take the court this season in the even more unlikely event that the 76ers make the Eastern Conference Finals.
George has averaged 16.2 points with 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in 41 appearances during his first season with the 76ers. The 34-year-old was signed by Philadelphia as a free agent in June 2024 after he couldn’t reach an agreement with his former team, the LA Clippers.
