Delegation from Turkmenistan meets with Amir of Qatar
AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov was received by Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on March 16, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the Amir of Qatar greetings and best wishes of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani thanked the Turkmen side for good wishes and addressed greetings in return to the leadership of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side emphasized the importance of the telephone conversation with Chairman of the People's Assembly of Turkmenistan held on March 3 this year.
Along with constructive bilateral cooperation, the effectiveness of interaction in multilateral formats, primarily within the framework of the United Nations, was emphasized. In particular, it was noted that the International Forum of Peace and Trust will be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country’s neutrality. The Qatari side was invited to participate in this international forum and official events.
