Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has been dealing with a back issue that placed his status for Monday's marquee matchup against the Denver Nuggets in jeopardy.
The former back-to-back MVP headed into the contest as a game-time decision as the Warriors wanted to see how Curry's lower back strain would respond to pregame warmups.
Curry has not missed a game since Jan. 29, and this won't change on Monday. This is after the Warriors decided that he was healthy enough to suit up against the Nuggets.
The team officially announced their startling lineup just before tip-off, and it, unsurprisingly, included Curry.

In other injury news, the Warriors will be without Brandin Podziemski due to a back issue. Gary Payton II, however, is available to play.
It wasn't good news for the Nuggets, though, who will now have to face Curry and Co. without their two best players. This is after Nikola Jokic (elbow/ankle) and Jamal Murray (knee) were both ruled out just before tip-off.
This is a crucial matchup between the Warriors and the Nuggets amid the battle for positioning in the Western Conference. Golden State enters this contest on a seven-game winning streak, and they are looking to keep their hot run going against an undermanned Denver side.
