Chinese Ambassador to Tonga Liu Weimin Attends the Unveiling Ceremony of Nishan House at St. Andrew’s High School

On 13th March, St. Andrew’s High School held the unveiling ceremony of  Nishan House. Ambassador Liu Weimin attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, handing over a batch of Chinese books donated by the Shandong Friendship Publishing House and Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Province, focusing on literature, history, and philosophy, etc. Chairman of the school board Mr. Moala, the principal Mrs. Latu, faculty members and students attended the ceremony.

Liu said that the Nishan House would provide a new platform for educational and cultural exchange and collaboration between China and Tonga, hence deepen mutual trust and friendship between our two peoples, particularly the youth. He encouraged students to read more Chinese books, learn about Chinese culture, visit and study in China, and become a bridge of friendship between the two nations, contributing to the strengthening of China-Tonga relations.

Mr. Moala warmly welcome the unveiling of the Nishan House at St. Andrew’s High School. He said that this was a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to deepen cooperative relations, and both sides would work together to continuously achieve new progress in educational collaboration.
