The Moda Center experienced flooding Monday night before the Portland Trail Blazers hosted the Washington Wizards.
The water was primarily limited to a section of the concourse area, but some leaked to the event level near the loading dock.
“This afternoon, a clean water pipe burst on the Moda Center 100-level, resulting in flooding of the north concourse area,” said Walt Scher, director of corporate communications. “Moda Center staff quickly identified and isolated the source of water and worked to shut off the water source, clean up the flooding and prepare the concourse for tonight’s game.”
Workers could be seen push-mopping the water out through entry doors. The flooded areas were cleared out before the bulk of fans arrived.
The water seeped down to the event level, leaking at various points. Towels and garbage receptacles were placed under leaks.
Blazers coach Chauncey Billups' pregame press conference was moved because of leaks outside of the room where he usually appears.
The incident did not impact the availability of water or plumbing during the game.
