The New York Knicks were able to take care of business on Monday night against the Miami Heat, winning the game by a final score of 116-95.
During the game, Josh Hart put together an impressive all-around performance.
Hart ended up scoring 12 points to go along with 13 rebounds, 11 assists, four steals, and a block. He shot 5-for-9 from the floor and knocked down two of his five three-point attempts.
Seeing the 30-year-old wing record a triple-double is not something that is new for Knicks fans this season. His triple-double against the Heat was his eighth of the year.
In the middle of the game, New York made a major announcement about Hart.
As shared on the NY Knicks PR account, it was announced that Hart's eight triple-double tonight tied Walt Frazier for the most triple-doubles recorded in a single season in franchise history.
"Josh Hart posted his eighth triple-double of the season tonight vs. Miami which ties Walt Frazier (1968-69) for the most triple-doubles recorded in a single-season in franchise history. This also marks his 14th triple-double as a Knick, which ranks fourth in franchise history."

That is a very impressive statistic. Hart will have a chance to make franchise history.
Throughout the course of the 2024-25 NBA season, Hart has played in 63 games. He has averaged 14.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game coming into tonight's matchup with Miami.
In addition, Hart has shot 53.3% from the floor overall and knocked down 33.3% of his three-point attempts.
Now, Hart will attempt to set a new franchise record if he can put together just one more triple-double this season.
