Ex Bucs Quarterback Pushes for Jon Gruden - Josh Grizzard Meeting

For the third season in a row, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a new offensive coordinator.

For all the roster building that general manager Jason Licht has pulled together this offseason, we still have the NFL Draft starting April 24 which will add even more talent.

Josh Grizzard has been promoted to offensive coordinator for 2025, replacing the departed Liam Coen, who left the organization amid controversy to coach the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The changes should be minimal under Grizzard, who served as the team's passing game coordinator before his promotion. He'll likely keep much of the same terminology and scheme while installing a few things he learned in Miami from Mike McDaniel.

Former Bucs quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick talked to former Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden about Grizzard and the upcoming season on his podcast, "Fitz & Whit" which he co-hosts with Andrew Whitworth.

Fitzpatrick thinks it would be a great idea to get Gruden and Grizzard together.

"I need to connect you with Josh Grizzard," Fitzpatrick told Gruden. "Young guy, really smart dude that's been in a few different systems, and I think he can learn a lot from you and you'd help him out a lot. So I would like to hopefully bridge that gap for you guys."

Fitzpatrick and Grizzard were together for a brief time in Miami, so there's some familiarity there.
