'We have a good relationship' - Juric insists he and Spors 'agree' on style of play

Juric has admitted Saints have zero chance of surviving in the Premier League this season, and focus is on preparing again for the Championship.

Spors, in his [interview with the](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24999074.southampton-spors-recruitment-manager-first-interview/) _[Daily Echo](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24999074.southampton-spors-recruitment-manager-first-interview/)_ last week, said he will keep in place the play style Saints hired Juric to bring - an intense, high-press game.

However, the 42 year old admitted to monitoring the market of potential new managers despite insisting no decision had been taken on Juric's future.

"It's the most important thing, I think, that we think about football in the same way," Juric told the _Daily Echo_, when asked about Spors.

"We all agree that for the Premier League you need some kind of player that you can compete with. It's good. We have had conversations about everything.

"About the team we have, about how we play, about the things that are not going well. About everything. I have a good relationship with him. Normal, very professional."

Juric's future will be decided by Spors, a former head of recruitment and global director, who has taken responsibility of the football department.

Last week, Spors pointed out the importance of "a more physical approach, dominance of long balls, and set pieces," in the second tier of English football.

Juric added: "Set-pieces, even in the Premier League, are of huge importance. Everybody prepares. I think we are working a lot about set-pieces.

"But I always say that the most important thing is who delivers the ball and which kind of player you have when you are attacking this ball.

"Sometimes we make it really complicated, but sometimes it's really simple. Who will put this ball and do you have players that want to score?"
