Warriors Make Historic Draymond Green Announcement During Nuggets Matchup

The Golden State Warriors' impressive seven-game win streak came to an end with a 114-105 loss to a short-staffed Denver Nuggets team on Monday night..

Despite the absence of superstar center Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets were able to bring the Warriors' win streak to a halt on their own home court. Aaron Gordon led the way for Denver, recording a game-high 38 points. Russell Westbrook furthered his position as the NBA's all-time triple-double leader - recording 12 points, 16 assists and 11 rebounds.

The Warriors dropped their first loss since Mar. 1 despite a 23-point performance from Jimmy Butler and a 20-point outing for Steph Curry. Draymond Green also stuffed the stat sheet, recording 10 points, five assists and six rebounds.

Before Monday night's matchup against the Nuggets, Green had notched 5,996 career rebounds. With his six boards in the Warriors' loss, the veteran forward surpassed the 6,000 mark for his 13-year NBA career.

Green is now one of six Warriors to surpass 6,000 career NBA rebounds, joining Nate Thurmond (12,771), Wilt Chamberlain (10,768), Larry Smith (6,440), Clyde Lee (6,416) and Paul Arizin (6,129).

The Warriors took to social media to announce Green's historic accomplishment.

"Dray's reached 6,000 career rebounds!" the team wrote on X.
