The Denver Nuggets pulled off a big surprise Monday night, as they stunned the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center in San Francisco with a 114-105 victory.
What made the Nuggets' victory extra special for Denver was the fact that they did it without their top two players. Both Jamal Murray and three-time NBA Most Valuable Player Nikola Jokic were unable to suit up due to ankle and elbow issues, respectively.
With their win, the undermanned Nuggets snapped the Dubs' seven-game win streak.
Nuggets veteran point guard Russell Westbrook's fingerprints were all over that triumph by Denver. The former NBA MVP added to his career triple-double count by racking up 12 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds. He further stuffed the stat sheets with three steals and two blocks in 42 minutes of action.
That was Westbrook's 203rd trip-dub in the pros, as announced by the NBA on X.

Westbrook shot just 5-for-18 from the field and went 2-for-9 from behind the arc while also finishing the Warriors game with seven turnovers.
But when it comes to the future Basketball Hall of Famer, the Nuggets will take the good with the bad, and this time, the positives greatly outweighed the negatives with Westbrook on the floor.
With newfound momentum, the Nuggets, who bounced back from a loss against the Washington Wizards last Saturday, will look to sustain their form on Wednesday when they visit one of Westbrook's former teams, the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
