There has been a lot of talk about Alejandro Garnacho at Manchester United, particularly since Ruben Amorim came into the frame at Old Trafford.
A star was born in Alejandro Garnacho when he was granted his debut by Ralf Rangnick in 2022. The Argentine was immediately hoisted into the first-team frame at Manchester United after dazzling performances for the academy sides.
Garnacho particularly shone under Erik ten Hag. He cemented the left-wing slot as his own, and despite being so young at 20, has already had spectacular moments in red. Who could forget Garnacho’s overhead kick?

But with Amorim playing a new system at Old Trafford, Garnacho’s future has faced uncertainty. He’s been in and out of the side, and even linked with a move away in January.
Chelsea were interested in Garnacho’s signature, but he stayed put. That being said – who knows what could happen in the next window.
With a lack of goals at United, the Red Devils will be looking at bolstering their attacking options in the market come the summer.
One of which they could look at, and already have, Antonee Robinson of Fulham believes is an immediate upgrade on United’s academy graduate.

Mbeumo has been sensational in the Premier League this season – which other superstars in England’s top flight have noted.
In an interview with ESPN, Robinson was tasked to rank Premier League wingers. In a game of winner stays on, ‘Jedi’ as he’s so nicknamed, was initially given the choice of Noni Madueke or Garnacho. He went for the latter.
Garnacho’s next opponent was the Brentford man – and Robinson couldn’t help but pick the in-form forward. ‘Mbeumo’, said the Fulham defender.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was the player who won the entire contest, with Bukayo Saka the only man close to having the American change his mind.
Mbeumo was linked to Manchester United
United were interested in Mbeumo in January. According to sources, Amorim is a ‘huge admirer’ of Mbeumo and wanted to bring him to Old Trafford.
United were allegedly weighing up a £40million offer for Mbeumo but faced competition from the likes of Arsenal for his signature.

Despite renewed United interest in Mbeumo throughout the month – eventually Bees boss Thomas Frank stated he would not be leaving in January – and that was that.
That doesn’t mean the Cameroonian couldn’t be lured away in the summer. However, the fee will be substantially more than the £40m initially reported, particularly if Brentford were to sell to an English club.
