Everton can finally look forward under the ownership of The Friedkin Group, without the pressure surrounding transfers that have been around for too long.

Since David Moyes took over the reins at Goodison Park, there has been a massive turnaround in performances, results and player confidence.

Everton have faced two points deductions in recent years, as well as being forced to sell players like Richarlison and Amadou Onana to avoid further sanctions.

With Premier League football all but secured for next season at Bramley Moore Dock, as well as no threat of PSR, Moyes can look at transfers in, rather than out, for once.

Tottenham want Everton man as alternative

Moyes will be looking to build a new-look squad, with regulars such as Vitality Mykolenko being built around for the new era.

That stance may be challenged soon, though, with clubs sniffing around.

According to TheBoyHotspur, Tottenham are looking to sign a replacement for Sergio Reguilon, who is set to depart in the summer after his contract expires.

Spurs’ first-choice for a new left-back is Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, however, Wolves will not let go of their prized asset and will demand upwards of £42 million.

In the event of Tottenham failing to sign Ait-Nouri, Everton left-back Mykolenko is on their radar as one of the alternatives to the 23-year-old.

Vitaliy Mykolenko’s stats since joining Everton

The Ukraine international joined the Toffees in January 2022 from Dynamo Kyiv for a fee of around £18million. Since then, the left-back has been a loyal and reliable player, featuring 114 times for the Merseysiders.

His deal at Everton is valid till 2026 and sooner or later the Toffees will have to decide on the Ukrainian’s future.

Everton need to make contract decisions

With Abdoulaye Doucoure set to leave the Toffees at the end of the season, Everton need to make decisions for seven other players who are also out of contract in the summer.

The Friedkin Group, have shown a sense of ruthlessness with their approach as they decided not to trigger Doucoure’s one-year extension and possibly let him leave.

The contracts of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Seamus Coleman, Idrissa Gueye, Michael Keane, Ashley Young, Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic are expiring and a decision is to be made.

Judging by the approach of the new owners, it looks like a number of these aforementioned names will leave the Toffees in the summer.

This indicates that Everton could be in for a monumental summer with several changes in the squad. Additionally, if players like Mykolenko are to be sold, the Merseysiders will also be looking for their replacements.
