Emmanuel Adebayor sends incredible two-word message to Nottingham Forest star on Instagram

Nottingham Forest enjoyed another fine afternoon in the Premier League on Saturday as Ipswich Town were beaten 4-2 at Portman Road.

This was a potential banana skin for the Reds. Although Kieran McKenna’s team haven’t yet won in 2025, they did put up one hell of a fight against Forest in the FA Cup.

However, it was a case of danger averted as a devastating six-minute spell that saw Forest score three times but Ipswich to the sword and edged them closer to the EFL.

Goals from Nikola Milenkovic, Jota Silva and two from Anthony Elanga ensured a pretty comprehensive victory for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

Morgan Gibbs-White was called into the England squad on Sunday. His performance was good against the Tractor Boys and Cole Palmer’s injury opened the door for him.

It wasn’t the England man who necessarily got the lionshare of the praise on this occasion, however, with another player coming to the fore against the relegation-threatened side.

Emmanuel Adebayor sends message to Anthony Elanga

The Forest winger scored more than once for the first time during a single game for the first time during his career against Ipswich and now he will be craving more.

It’s not clear how Elanga knows Adebayor or if they’ve ever met at all, but he clearly felt happy enough to send him a message on Instagram after his two-goal haul.

The winger was in truly fine form against Ipswich at the weekend and it was great to see someone else chip in with some goals.

Elanga took both of his goals extremely well, with his first goal an exquisite finish with his weak foot that left the goalkeeper with absolutely no chance.

At 22-years-old, it’s extremely exciting to see how far Elanga can go in football and at £15 million, he looks like a steal of a signing.

The challenge for the Sweden international has always been consistency and since the turn of the year, he’s been right up there among the team’s best players.
