The star in question here is Nico Williams. He is 22 years old and plays for Athletic Club. Gunners were first linked with him last summer. Williams had an amazing Euro 2024 tournament with Spain national team. His performances were followed by interest from plenty top clubs.
Arsenal tried to sign him last summer but failed to do so. But, they have not given up on the pursuit and are believed to be in pole position to land Williams this summer. The 22 year old is viewed by Mikel Arteta as an upgrade on Gabriell Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
Liverpool are also showing interest in Williams as they are planning for future without Salah. In addition, Luis Diaz may also depart this summer. Lastly, Bayern also want new wingers as all Coman, Sane and Gnabry are linked with exit.

Garnacho, Hojlund, Zirkzee and Rashford may all depart this summer. This will need new additions and Williams can be a great fit. But, the Red Devils may find it hard to land the Spaniard due to two main reasons.
Firstly, it will require €58 million to sign Williams. United are not very strong in terms of finance right now. Second thing is they will not play in UCL next season unlike other interested clubs. Infact, United are set to miss on Conference league and Europa league spots too.
