American 'soccer' players often get a lot of flak when they move to Europe, but one player has burst onto the scene and lit the Serie A alight, reportedly leading to some attention from Aston Villa.
Since AC Milan manager Sérgio Conceição joined the San Siro in 2024, 22-year-old Yunus Musah has become a key part of his side. The central midfielder is somewhat of a jack of all trades, who can pick up several different roles in the centre of the park as well as an occasional stint on the right.
Having continued to impress in his 35 games this season, Musah has cemented himself as a regular starter and a promising talent in the league. And with all potential wonder kids, he is said to have attracted interest from the Premier League.
According to MilanLive, the American was thought of as "unsellable" in the summer, but just months later and with an inflated price tag, the Italian outlet is reporting that the club could be swayed by a €30 million offer (£25 million) something that they're reporting is tempting Aston Villa.

The Rossoneri are reportedly even more keen to offload him to create the funds and space to sign Samuele Ricci from Torino who the club has made a clear target. Having only signed Musah in August 2023, AC Milan would also be picking up a quick profit after signing him themselves for around €20 million.
However, one thing that may put Monchi off the former Arsenal Academy graduate is his lack of results in creating and finishing goals. In his 75 games in Italy, he has failed to score and only produced four assists in his more than 4,000 minutes on the grass.
Although if Villa were to chase down a move for the American international, they would reportedly also face tough competition from some English rivals. Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are reportedly in the race as well as interest from West Ham and Nottingham Forest.
