Dan Burn joined up with the England national squad just hours after lifting the Carabao Cup with Newcastle United.
What a week it has been for the big man from Blyth. Dan Burn broke the deadlock in the Carabao Cup final, scoring Newcastle United’s first goal at Wembley since 2000.
Burn completely stunned Arne Slot with his towering header, and the 32-year-old deservedly took home the Player of the Match award as well as his Carabao Cup winners medal.
The behind-the-scenes celebrations at Wembley were legendary, and Burn joined up with Alan Shearer and some of his teammates at Boxpark to celebrate the win.
But earlier in the week, Burn was called up to the England squad for the first time in his career so he had to cut his celebrations short to join up with the national team early in the morning.
