Report: Arsenal's £27m player who William Saliba claims is 'incredible' now has interest from Saudi Pro League clubs

One of Arsenal’s key players has emerging interest from the Saudi Pro League which could be terrible news for William Saliba who is a big fan of his.

Mikel Arteta will be desperate to keep his Arsenal team together in the summer as he looks to make another push for the Premier League title next season.

The Gunners look set for another failed attempt at winning the league this year and there have been suggestions that Arsenal may have peaked under Arteta.

It’s unlikely that Arsenal’s top stars will want to leave in the summer but the North London club will need to show a willingness to match their ambition in the transfer window.

Gabriel Magalhaes’ interest from Saudi Pro League clubs

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes has interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, according to BBC Sport.

Bringing the £27m defender to the Middle East would be without doubt one of their biggest coups to date with the defender still one of the world’s best.

Gabriel, who William Saliba has called ‘incredible’, has been probably Arsenal’s best player this season and crucial at both ends of the pitch.

The 27-year-old has five goals and one assist and helped the Gunners to keep ten clean sheets in the Premier League this term.

Losing Gabriel would be a major blow to Arteta’s project at the Emirates Stadium, although a sale would surely generate substantial funds to sign an elite striker.

What is the latest with Gabriel Magalhaes’ contract situation at Arsenal?

TBR Football understands that new sporting director Andrea Berta is being immediately tasked with finalising a new deal for Gabriel along with Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.

The Brazilian’s current contract with Arsenal is due to run until the summer of 2027 meaning the Gunners will need to get a move on with interest growing.

The North London club are determined to get all three players signed up to new contracts before next summer.
