The Trump administration won’t be sanctioned for freezing grant money to a Washington state hospital that conducts research on gender-affirming care for youths, a federal judge said.
Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, and Colorado failed to show by clear and convincing evidence that the National Institutes of Health revoked Seattle Children’s Hospital’s research grant funding in violation of Judge Lauren King’s orders blocking the agency from implementing a gender ideology executive order, the US District Court for the Western District of Washington said Monday. King also denied the states’ request for attorneys’ fees and costs in connection with their contempt motion.
