Fans praying for actor who got sick, wheel-chaired out of NBA game

People are worried for Tracey Morgan’s health after the actor got violently ill at an NBA game this week.

Morgan had to be wheel-chaired out of Madison Square Garden after throwing up while sitting courtside at the Heat-Knicks game Monday night, according to a video posted on X.

Another video on X indicated that the actor was “bleeding from nose” and “could barely stand up.”

“Hope he’s ok,” part of the caption on the video reads.

The incident paused the game, which was in the third quarter, for more than 10 minutes as workers cleaned up the area around Morgan’s seat, the Associated Press reported.

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden told the AP they hope Morgan feels better soon, and they were looking forward to seeing him back in his courtside seat.

Fans concerned for Morgan’s health posted hopeful messages on X, including actor Ben Stiller who wrote “sending good thoughts to Tracy Morgan.”

Morgan has experienced several health struggles over the years. The comedian has diabetes and underwent a kidney transplant in 2010.

In June 2014, Morgan broke his leg and was in a coma for two weeks after a Walmart truck hit Morgan’s limo from behind while speeding on the New Jersey Turnpike. He was wheelchair-bound for five months afterwards and had to relearn how to speak and walk.

“Hey, Knicks fam, you don’t have to post the photo of Tracy Morgan sick at the game. No one wants to see that,“ one X user wrote. ”Tracy is diabetic and a kidney transplant recipient. No matter how public the forum, no one wants to be seen that way."

“Tracy Morgan has been battling health problems for over a decade,“ another X user wrote. ”We’re not going to laugh at him for getting ill at the Knicks game. Do better."

The 56-year-old Morgan, a longtime Knicks fan, was featured prominently during the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary weekend events, at both the “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” and the live “SNL50: The Anniversary Celebration” special.

He also has a forthcoming, untitled comedy pilot on NBC, in which he plays a disgraced former football player looking to remake his image, opposite Daniel Radcliffe.

The Knicks went on to a 116-95 victory.

“First and foremost, obviously we hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan,” Knicks forward Josh Hart said after the win. “Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”
