Arsenal are preparing to enter formal negotiations with Bukayo Saka over a new long-term contract, as the club looks to secure the future of one of its most valuable assets.
Saka, 23, has been sidelined since December after suffering a serious hamstring injury against Crystal Palace but remains a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad. Despite his absence, the Gunners are eager to extend his stay beyond his current deal, which runs until 2027 and is worth a minimum of £10 million per season.
According to theBBC, discussions between Arsenal and Saka’s representatives have already begun, with negotiations expected to intensify in the coming months. The club is determined to avoid any uncertainty surrounding his future, particularly as they continue their push for Premier League and Champions League success.

Saka had been in outstanding form before his injury, registering nine goals and nine assists in just 13 appearances this season. His return to full fitness remains a top priority, but Arsenal are also keen to ensure he remains at the Emirates for the foreseeable future.

Arsenal are also mindful of securing long-term commitments from defensive pillars William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, whose contracts run until 2027. While formal talks over an extension for Saliba have yet to begin, the Frenchman recently expressed his desire to remain at the club.
Magalhães, meanwhile, has held discussions over a potential extension but is also attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
With Arsenal keen to build a squad capable of sustained success, securing new deals for their core players—including Saka—will be a top priority for the club’s hierarchy in the coming months.
