It’s a good day to be the New England Patriots.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. and NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah both dropped their latest mock drafts on Tuesday, which typically wouldn’t mean anything significant for an individual team. New England, however, should be paying close attention, because both experts had the draft playing out the same way early on.
Cam Ward to the Tennessee Titans, Abdul Carter to the Cleveland Browns, Shedeur Sanders to the New York Giants and Travis Hunter to One Patriot Place.
What are the odds of that?
Kiper and Jeremiah typically don’t just throw things at the wall, so you’d have to imagine their mocks have some level of inside knowledge behind them. Sanders is the wild card in this scenario, as he fell to No. 6 and No. 7 in Kiper and Jeremiah’s previous mock drafts, respectively.

Did the Giants suddenly become more desperate for a quarterback? Is Sanders knocking his interviews out of the park? The Patriots don’t care, they likely just hope this scenario holds so they can hold all the cards at No. 4.
