**Norwich City youngster Jaiden Owen has joined Premier League side Arsenal U18s on trial.**
The defender, who signed his [first professional contract](https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/23831451.norwich-city-jaiden-owen-signs-new-professional-contract/) at Carrow Road in October 2023, featured as an unused substitute for the Gunners' youth side in a 4-3 victory over Leicester City on Saturday.
Owen has played eight U18 Premier League matches for Greg Crane's young City side this season, with his most recent outing coming in a 5-0 defeat to Southampton last month before he was replaced in the 64th minute by Jake Glossop.
The teenager has represented Wales' youth sides up to U17 level and was highly regarded at a young age. City have recently signed fellow left back and Turkey youth international [Vatan Ozcan](https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/24969625.norwich-city-academy-vatan-ozcan-signs-first-pro-contract/) to his first professional contract.
Owen has been on trial at Arsenal for a period alongside young Brighton midfielder Ronnie Gorman, who City ran the rule over recently when he played the entirety of their 4-3 defeat to Leicester in February.
Reports in North London suggest Arsenal's 18s, formerly managed by City first-team coach Jack Wilshere, are looking at recruiting at left back and have also taken Chelsea defender Marcell Washington on trial alongside Owen.
Owen has made 38 appearances for City U18s since the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
