West Ham are weighing up a move for Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, according to reports.
Rumour mongers FootballTransfers.com claim that the former Arsenal No.1 and his Saints teammate Tyler Dibling are on the Hammers’ radar.
Supporters on X would not been keen on their club signing Ramsdale, although a few are more open to securing the services of Dibling:

I always said that we needed to change our geriatric goalies, but Ramsdale is a definite no-no. I have no confidence in him. There are better and younger goalies than him out there.

Ramsdale will have been relegated 3 times by the end of this season and there are better youngsters to sign instead of Tibling.

Ramsdale’s numbers don’t make for good reading
Since leaving Arsenal for Southampton last summer, the 26-year-old’s form has been rather poor. His save percentage this season is 66.9%, which is significantly below Lukasz Fabianski’s 74.6%. It is, however, higher than Alphonse Areola (62.8%) who admittedly has had a very poor campaign by his standards.
In terms of post-shot xG conceded compared to actual goals conceded, things look even worse for Ramsdale. He has a figure of -3.8, meaning he has let in 4 more goals than he should have done. In contrast, Fabianski’s figure is +2.3.
Dibling would be an expensive purchase for West Ham
The Southampton winger has attracted a lot of attention with some impressive performances over the last six months. He has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, it would be a surprise if the Irons made a move for Dibling. Not only do the club already have Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus for the right wing, but the teenager could cost as much as £55m. For that reason, it is best to treat this rumour with a great deal of scepticism.
