Aaron Rodgers is still waiting to decide if he wants to join the Pittsburgh Steelers or head elsewhere. Yet, it sure seems like a lot of fans, and even now some players, are fed up and tired of waiting.
Cam Heyward took to his podcast, Not Just Football, to send a blunt message to Rodgers amid the waiting game for him to decide his next destination.
“I ain’t doing that darkness retreat. I don’t need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don’t. That’s simple, that’s the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that’s the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers if you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don’t, no skin off my back,” Heyward said.
Rodgers has gone radio silent for the majority of the week before finally picking negotiations back up early in the week with the Steelers. Yet, the way things have drawn have left a bad taste in a lot of mouths, and it could draw up even longer for Rodgers and the teams involved.
It does not seem management in either spot is forcing Rodgers to make a decision soon, but if they try to push it, they might pivot to another player sooner rather than later. Russell Wilson remains a free agent, and the Steelers or Giants could always pivot to him.
