Hull City star Kasey Palmer has joked that he didn't expect a Kevin De Bruyne-style pass from Lewie Coyle to help the Tigers equalise at West Brom on Saturday.
Palmer came off the bench to head back across goal for Abu Kamara to net his fourth goal of an ever-improving season to help [City](https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/all-about/hull-city) claim a deserved 1-1 draw against the play-off-chasing Baggies to make it four games unbeaten.
While Albion will rightly point to chances of their own while former Tigers target John Swift hit the bar, City could have snatched it late on when Kamara and Lincoln saw good chances saved by goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith.
Coyle's cross was inch-perfect after a fine move from Ruben Selles' side, with the skipper cleverly floating it over Albion goalscorer Isaac Price onto the head of Palmer to turn back across for his second assist off the bench in as many games, a result which Palmer admitted left the dressing room disappointed it wasn't more going into the [final international break of the season](https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/ruben-selles-hull-city-laundry-10025131).
"Towards the end, we're pushing to try and get the three points, and I think in the dressing room we're a bit disappointed, so I think that says quite a lot to come to a place like this, which is always a difficult place to come, a team that's pushing for the play-offs and be devastated in the dressing room that we haven't got the three points, to be honest, so yeah, it's a good, good result.
"I didn't expect the skip to pick me out with that Kevin De Bruyne ball, but fair play, that shows the quality that he's got, he's seen me around and executed the cross and then, I just headed it across the goal and Abu just tucked it in so I'm buzzing for him."
Palmer's cameo off the bench was another big step forward in his recovery from the ankle injury which has kept him sidelined for the past three months, in what the Jamaican international admits has been a frustrating season.
"The start of the season was quite frustrating, not playing as much as I wanted to, and then the new gaffer comes in and I get an injury, miss two or three months, which was even another blow, but yeah, to come back and obviously help the team and contribute with two assists off the bench and two games is obviously positive so hopefully after the break I can kick on again."
