Wolves are already looking ahead of the summer transfer window – and the club could be set to dip into the South American market once again.
With Wolves pulling nine points clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League, Molineux officials can tentatively start planning for 2025/26.
The club have games against West Ham United and Ipswich Town up next, and positive results against both are likely to ensure safety.
We are already getting some links to new players this summer – especially central defenders
Koni De Winter is on Wolves’ radar, but there could be a lot of competition for the Belgium international.
There’s also been interest from Wolves in Michael Keane.
But we all know that Wolves like to sign young players with high potential, and it seems the club may have spotted another gem.

It’s been reported by Vozes Do Gigante that Wolves have recently watched central defender Victor Gabriel, who is currently on loan at Internacional.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
It’s stated he’s been drawing the attention of European football this season.
Apparently, representatives from Wolves were present to watch Gabriel play in the recent Grenal that took place in Beira-Rio. The Grenal is the name given to the derby match between Gremio and Internacional.
The two teams were playing the second leg of the final of the Campeonato Gaúcho, with Internacional winning 3-1 on aggregate.
Gabriel played 77 minutes of the game, before being substituted with an injury.
Wolves are interested in the player.

But at the moment, Gabriel is only on loan at Internacional, who are expected to sign him permanently from Sport Recife, which is the club Wolves signed Pedro Lima from last summer.
Gabriel and Lima shared the pitch a few times, before Gabriel joined Internacional on loan in April 2024. Lima, of course, then joined Wolves in the summer.
Internacional would pay around £68,000 for 50% of Gabriel’s rights. But they are currently negotiating to increase this share to 70%.
Gabriel’s loan spell is due to end in December. But Wolves’ interest may well result in him not making it to the end of that stint.
Gabriel may not be the only young player from Brazil to head to Molineux this summer, with Wolves also preparing a bid for Riquelme Fillipi.
Wolves have had previous transfer success in South America
So Wolves have their eye on another young player from Brazil, and it’s little wonder the club are again undertaking scouting missions in South America.
We have seen the club strike goal with the signing of Joao Gomes, who joined the club from Flamengo in January 2023.
Then Lima signed for Wolves from Sport Recife last summer, with the youngster choosing Molineux over a move to Chelsea.
Lima has yet to properly show his quality, but Wolves very much see him as one for the future.
Ahead of the summer, Gabriel is certainly a player to keep an eye out for.
